Batman: Arkham City is a third-person action-adventure game based on one of the most popular superheroes from comic books, cartoons, movies, and toys: Batman. This project is an expanded version of the original game. Rocksteady Studios developed the game, which was officially launched in early fall 2012.
The game’s setting is five times larger than the previous title, Batman: Arkham Asylum. Ordinary inhabitants are terrified by the huge areas of DC Comics’ darkest city, where power is gradually concentrated in the hands of numerous marauders, murderers, and psychopaths. The Penguin, Mr. Freeze, the Joker, and other monsters in human form command a large number of gangs.
Batman notices his own insignia illuminated by a spotlight in the stormy night sky, and he knows only one thing: the city needs him. He sets out to bring order to the streets of Gotham City. The developers have introduced the opportunity to play as Catwoman, Batman’s sworn rival. However, the irreconcilable enemies have allied.
The gameplay for Batman and Catwoman changes greatly. Bruce Wayne, as his alter ego, can practically swoop above the city like a hawk, searching for the next victim who has crossed the line. He battles using his strong physical strength and special devices, whereas Catwoman depends on her senses and agility. The new features include a smoke grenade for distracting adversaries and a new detective mode. The developers also announced 400 new accomplishments!
The last installment’s magnificent graphics have been considerably improved, the game environment has grown many times larger, the artificial intelligence has become smarter, and the original plot offers several surprising shocks for you!
