In the menu bar, Dato provides you with a local clock, the date, many world clocks, and future events. A menu containing a calendar, calendar events, and a world clock appears when you click Dato in the menu bar. You may easily customize all of this.

A one-time purchase that will always be free. Dato will never be a product that requires a subscription. The menus and settings are only accessible in English, but Dato supports all locales and languages that macOS offers for text, date, time, and calendar in the menu bar.

Advice

• To switch the chosen day to “today,” click the calendar’s month and year labels (such as “April 2020”).
• To open a day in your default calendar app (compatible with Calendar, Fantastical 2, BusyCal, and Outlook), long-press on it.

• To choose the current day on the calendar, use the space bar.

There is existing support for this. Just activate calendars in Dato’s settings after adding your Google calendars to the Calendar app.

Q3 How can I alter the week’s starting day?

Dato follows the settings you make in System Preferences × Language & Region.

Q4 Is it possible for you to translate the app into my language?

The calendar and its date and time information are customized to your preferred language. Localizing the software itself is not something I intend to do.

Q5 I put a calendar in the Calendar app, but Dato doesn’t display it.

The calendar in “Data × Settings × Events” must be enabled.

Q6 The menu bar does not display the data.

Dato might have been buried because macOS hides excess items when the menu bar gets too big. Try using the menu bar to close other programs. Unfortunately, apps are unable to identify this and alert users.
